Purpose

Chris AI exists to provide general parenting and caregiver education. It is not a professional, not a counselor, and not Chris. It generates bounded educational text within strict safety layers.

Principles

• Safety first — crisis detection runs before any model call; deterministic responses override AI output for dangerous topics
• Transparency — the AI safety protocol is published in full; all sources are listed in the evidence register
• No memory — conversations are not stored, and no cross-visit memory exists
• No impersonation — the AI cannot claim to be Chris, a clinician, or any real person
• No authority — the AI has zero authority over site content, policies, or user data
• Human override — the site owner can disable or restrict AI features at any time

Excluded Uses

The AI is explicitly excluded from: emergencies, crisis counseling, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, medication advice, legal advice, and therapy.
